YOSEMITE SPRING 2021 (APRIL)


The grandeur of this beautiful wilderness is just so mesmerizing to the soul, I've never get tired of coming back. The place is so huge that throughout the years that I've been coming back to this place I only have covered a small portion of it's land, despite of all the trails that I have been into.
So much to see, and so much to explores, and 4 days is not enough to really enjoy the place.

The Waterfalls.
The glorious waterfalls all comes roaringly alive and showing off it's  tons of liquids pouring down into the granites, together with the melting snow and ice as it make contact to those giant boulders and creating a booming sounds like a glass crashing into a concrete. The Misty trail with what it's famous for is of course the cool "mists" from the waterfalls of Vernal and Nevada so soothing especially when it gets really warm. The little water falls that drips along the granite walls along the trails as well is also such a soothing relief from the heat.

Mountain Flowers 
This is the time of the year that some of the early bloomers like the lily's and bulbs show there colors. Dogwood's, mountain maples with it's vibrant red and crimson colors and dogwood flower with its snow white color comes to life.

Hiking and Backpacking My Personal Preferences

To all my friends who love the great outdoors perhaps this is something you may want to consider as another form of healthy and adventurous recreation called "backpacking". So what is the difference between backpacking and hiking? Backpacking is a form of outdoor adventure trips that consist of at least one night and can last for weeks or even months for some people who traverses the long trails in our nation wilderness. Backpackers carries water, food, bedding, shelter, small stove, and lightweight cooking gears, first aid supplies, and some survival equipment. "Be Prepared" is my own personal mantra that I borrowed from scouting, and knowing what to do and what to bring during your adventure trips will make a big difference in your comfort, safety, and enjoyment of the great outdoor. The Quest of Mt. Apo - The Climb

Reporting at the Apolandia Elementary School, at theTown of Santa Cruz Aphio Trekkers basking on a very successful mission of delivering gifts, supplies, clothing's, and other goods to the children of Apolandia Elementary School. The elated locals, were very thankful to Alpha Phi Omega, to our sponsors, and to the Dr. Librado I. Ureta Foundation. Our dedicated brothers and sisters exemplifies the tenets of our fraternity and sorority advancing and promoting Leaderships, Friendships, and Services in action and in true spirit of friendships and service. The Trailhead Apolandia to the trailhead is about 2 miles of rough roads, and ends up to a point where it's no longer safely accessible by vehicles. A welcome break for us to have a lunch and regroup, waiting for our guides and porters that will lead us to our destinations.
